Agricultural Produce  Market committee Una, was established during the year 1978 under the Himachal Pradesh Agriculture produce Markets Act, 1969 ( Act No 9 of 1970 ), which has been repealed vide section 86 of the ,“HP Agricultural & Horticultural Produce Marketing (development & Regulation Act, 2005”(Act No. 20 of 2005) as assented to by the Governor on 25th May, 2005 for better regulation of sale and purchase of Agriculture produce & provide marketing and information facilities to the growers of the district . The area of the operation of Market Committee was notified as entire district of Una. Agriculture Market committee,  Una started its functioning with 17 dealers on 24th May 1979 that has been risen up to 305 traders of fruits, vegetables, food grains and  milk products have been covered under the provision of this act. Initially the income of the APMC Una was Rs.23,980/- during the year 1979-80 which has now increased to the tune of Rs 1,21,18,510/ during the year 2012-13. Committee is meeting out its office and development expenses out of its own income.

Principal Market Yard- Una

25 Kanals land at Una-Amb road was transferred in the name of Agriculture Department for the establishment of Principal Market yard Una. During the year 1986-87, principal market yard una was constructed having 20 numbers of fruits and vegetables shops on the ground floor. First floor of the building is having 6 office rooms, Chowkidar Room, Canteen and farmer rest house having 5 single room sets and 2 dormitories. During the year 1997-98, 4 shops were constructed for the grain market. During the year 2005 one new shop was constructed in the existing grain market and two more shops were constructed for fruit and vegetables. Principle market yard is also having 6 booths constructed under 20 point programme.

Sub-market Yard - Santoshgarh

During the year 1999-2000, covered auction platform was constructed in front of 20 vegetable and fruit shops to provide more space to the growers/traders/commission agents as well as to save their produce from heat and rain. A Sub-market yard was constructed at Santoshgarh in 2008-09 . It has started functioning from July, 2009. Four new shops for fruits and vegetables were constructed at Principal market yard Una in the year 2011-12.
